WOW, WOW, WOW did I luck out!! This was one hell of a kick @$$, demon possessing & hunting, Witch & Ghost "loving" (in every sense of the word), Supernatural World traipsing & dallying, coming of age rollercoaster ride that left me wanting more....PRONTO! Is Urban Fantasy getting hotter by the day? Absolutely! Has the whole Demon hunting thing been frequented a bit lately? Undeniably! But this Demon hunting Urban Fantasy book was not only hot but cutting edge to boot ;-) These demons weren't the red faced, horned head, forked tail, Angelic foe sort. These demons were the ordinary looking shmoes like Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Mengele et al. There were spirit demons that didn't have their own bodies and liked to possess easily corruptible humans and there are those that did have bodies that still liked to corrupt but what do they all have in common? What did they all really want out of Life? To create chaos, mayhem and bedlam!! Their views being that "Humans could seldom get out of their own way, and usually all it took was a little push to get them started on their downward spiral. Still, the mission was always about making as big a splash as possible so the ripples would reach as far as they could reach". We get to learn all about the butt kicking MC, Golden Silver (aka Denny). We discover all about her Legacy and demonology etc...we live it alongside her and MAN OH MAN was it fun...and engrossing... and an awesome way to spend the day. I am psyched for book #2!
