Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.
I'm just trying to light up the world as much as I can one SciFi/paranormal/fantasy/space opera/time travel book at a time.
After reading such glowing reviews of this book I find myself very disappointed. The writing was merely Ok but the story was original and relatively fast paced. There were a couple of twists that I did not see coming but many that were obvious pretty early on. It did not end in a cliffhanger and it set up the next books pretty well, which is good, but the writing being simply Meh really enhanced my lackluster feelings towards the book. I'm on the fence about reading on in the series especially bc my TBR list grows daily, filled with books I am more eager to devour.
