Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.
I'm just trying to light up the world as much as I can one SciFi/paranormal/fantasy/space opera/time travel book at a time.
What an absolutely beautiful love story brewing! There is no cheesy love at first sight in this series. In fact Jos can barely stomach any sort of contact she has with Illyan to begin with, but there is a subtle progression of love that forms between the two. Reading it felt like an intrusion, like I was witnessing some other persons intimately private moments. What a guilty little pleasure! This book really tugs at your heart showcasing (rather convincingly) severe mental instability, PTSD, betrayal, longing, what defines a Family, growing into one's self and trusting in your abilities and decisions, facing seemingly insurmountable fear, forgiveness... along with a swoon worthy romance and a dementedly twisted one. There isn't a lot of fighting, what little there is is saved until the end, so if that's what you're looking for you're going to be a bit disappointed. The writing is great as always and the characters are so well developed you feel like you know each and every one of them. I really can't wait to read the next and final book, hopefully it gets here soon
